Dear mom,
wow, I feel like each week is getting a little bit more crazy, and this one was totally crazy. we had a baptism this Saturday for Julio. he is a total miracle. for about a month he was coming to church with one of our youth. she just invited him on a whim on sunday and said he felt so much love and peace. so he kept coming back. later they were talking about the temple and he said how bad he wanted to go in. so they came to us cause we know how to get on that path. we taught him and baptized him 3 weeks later. he is so special, the spirit at his baptism was so strong. everyone knows he is special, they can feel it. i am so blessed, you have no idea. all my baptisms are super prepared. its so cool to see the hand of the Lord in his work. if I’ve learned anything its that He does love us. he does want the best for all of us and wants us to be happy. so cool.
some questions to answer from last week. i love the bag, as much as i can... its a side bag....i just don't know if i can get used to them. its perfect size though. the pants are awesome, perfect length and waist. i am going on a De-tox ha, Texans just feed you way too much. they never stop. ha the legos are awesome. i made the plane and now it is flying over my desk. ha everything is going good.
we had a zone leader with us for the start of the week for exchanges. his name is elder De La Mar, the coolest dude ever. he leaves next transfer, so sad day. i think i will stay up here in mag-town, so life will be good, but back to the real story. we were going to find a less active. we park on the side of the road. we start going up the driveway and its long windy path. the trees are tall and enclose us. super sketchy. we finally find the house. its this barn looking thing. i start walking in front to go the house. out of nowhere there comes 3 big dogs barking and running straight for us. elder Su'a and de la mar look at each other and all i hear is them booking it behind me. now lets pause and look at the situation. the slow kid who doesn't know how to run was in front and got a late start.... things aren’t looking good. ha so i start running trying to catch up to them. well i catch up with them but the side bag knocks my tag off and when that happens i stop running. the first dog runs past me, and the other dog i dog whispered and he backs off. i back- tract to find my tag and my pen that fell off during the chase. i get my stuff and see my comps running back down the drive way with two huge sticks... they thought i would be getting attacked. little do they know i have a rotti. those dogs were nothing. ha
so remember the member that was making me a guitar? Well, he finished. it is super awesome. i sent the picture. its so cool. that man is super awesome. he is in a wheel chair cause he was in a car accident. he was found by the missionaries when they were tracting and he has about 4-5 masters, one of them in divinity. basically theology without a religion tied to it. so he knows his bible. he is a ward missionary and it super awesome.
the family sounds awesome. sterling is going to do really good. school will bow before him. ariel is awesome as always and will do great. chandler is a great dad. Lace, JP or as dad would say CP (chunkiper) loves you. you are a great mother and i cant even see it in person. Mom, you are awesome. i love you and miss you tons.
the weather here is just crazy. some days its super hot and muggy. others its rainy and still muggy. oh texas. gotta love it.
Well, my farewell story is about our investigator. so he was a referral from some other missionaries. they have had this guy come to their ward for about 2 weeks. really enjoyed it, knows its true. so last sunday we stop by to pick him up for church. he says he had to work and didn't come. we call later this week and find out that the day we went to get him for church he did something "stupid" and got himself in jail on a 50,000 dollar bail. ha we have permission to go see him. gotta love redknecks and texas!
Elder B
