Hello my dearest Mother and friends,
so i am guessing you all are wondering where i am at right now... did i stay or did i go??? I did in fact get transferred... i am now in Huntsville Texas! its a small college town above Conroe... so all of my areas have touched. 1235 Josey Street #283, Huntsville, Texas 77304 this is my new address!!! just so everyone can send me letters or packages... just saying. ha its home of the Sam Houston Bearcats! its a small college and just off campus there is a state prison... yeah its the place they do death row... pretty cool if you ask me. i cover a ward and a branch... the branch is a YSA branch on campus. so yes i will go to the "tute" on some days. all of the institutes are pretty much the same. doors, foosball tables, ping pong, and nice secretary... so that will be pretty fun. we have a set of Spanish sisters up here and we work very close with them. when school gets back in session it should be bumping... though the branch only has about.... 6 YSAs coming to sacrament meeting... so we will see how that goes when it starts up with the start of school. its not a very big town, no chipotles.... super sad believe me!!!
my companion, Elder Field, is a great guy! he is 19 from san jose California, he is a Cali Boy, but he doesnt look like it, very outdoorsy. he is just a funny guy! Yes, i am still a Zone leader! super fun, my ZL comp is a new ZL and new to his area too. so this will be interesting. my zone is bigger than my last one. A lot of senior couples up here. so that is different. Yeah, we are pretty far away from the most of our mission. the last two ZLs were going home and were super trunky... so they didnt help the whole zone a lot i am guessing. Yes, i am still in a 2014 Jeep. love'in it. my apartment is small but i will like it.
the work is moving along up here. we have 2 really progressing investigators and a part-member that we are working on. a big jump from magnolia! the ward is really, really old.... a few young married people but a lot of old folks... wish me luck! the day i got up to this ward a young married couple moved in so we have a little bond cause we are both really new.. the husband served his mission in Washington DC... so i had to ask if he knew burk, and he did!! burk was his zone leader at the end of his mission... how cool is that! a little connection that rocks! His name is grant turley. ha
sounds like everyone back at home is having a ball. dad and sterling, CDO sounds like the place to be... i am still waiting for some shirts... im not mad... ha chandler and lacey, you are the best parents in the world with an amazing daughter. Ariel, you are just awesome! GGC, i am glad you made your trip safe! Mom, you are too funny. i am glad you are loving your monday! Did cooper go into the MTC last week or is it still coming up?
Well, with the new area comes new just about everything... i feel so lost, its strange going from a place where i could travel it backwards to a place where i dont even know where the freeway is, but the Lord is using this as a place for me to grow. i can see how the Lord can use me and help me grow, so it will be a great learning experience.
for new years it was pretty uneventful, i was exhausted from transfers that i crashed pretty hard! a couple of days later we lit some fireworks with a member.. pretty fun.. as they say everything is bigger in texas!!!
Well, i love all of you!!! be safe and enjoy the new year!!!
Elder Nymeyer!
