hello family!
I got a lot of emails today from you guys!!
yall are the best!!! yall sound so good!!! awesome! well this week was
exciting. transfers hit us this week. Tuesday came and I was pretty
nervous... being with elder Su'a for that long it
was hard to change a little bit, change is strange. so my new comp is
elder perkins, he is 19 from gilbert, has been out 6 months, he is a ASU
football fan, so that is a little hard... still have to be repping that
red and blue #beardown. he loves football
so its nice to talk football with someone again! awesome! he played
Quarterback for Mesa High. he separated his shoulder so didn't play a
lot his junior and senior year. so its a lot of fun. Su'a got
transferred to a ward at the bottom of the stake with the
tongan from Conroe. so its a good thing. he will do fine. I am still
zone leader... my ZL comp is named elder Thomas.. he came out a transfer
after me. he is kinda different. Funny, but not a elder bladh. ha
a lot of members have asked what our plans
are for thanksgiving... I think a lot of people want to have us over so
we will be going to a lot of places! the official place we are going is
with the duiguids. their son get back from mexico
about a year and a half ago. he helped us a lot before he went to
college. we are also invited to a pie judging contest! so that will be
fun... yes, I get homesick.. its not really long but its still not easy
to be gone. I love the work but I also love you
guys, so its weird!!!
its getting so cold up here guys... I think
its colder than last year... so I am going to buy an awesome coat today
to be warm when walking around! I have been living on hot cocoa this
whole week. so I have been thinking of different
Christmas gifts lately. it is a really hard thing to think of FYI.
little nifty giftys are always good. an indoor helicopter would be fun
to have... just saying.
the suit thing.... the CTR suit is very
thick... and they never really felt right... the suit is better than the
CTR pants. I loved the other suit because no one had that suit... lots
of Missionaries get CTR suits so that’s lame....
also it was light and a better fit all around.
our miracle, Bonnie is just becoming more
and more awesome!!! she accepted a baptismal date for the 14th of Dec,
hopefully she will make it... we might have to push it back till the end
of dec but she is awesome... she loves learning.
she was so excited to come to church and be "our convert." its so cool
how the Lord sends us right where we need to be!!! She and i connect so
well. its kinda scary!!! the Lord knew what he was doing!
Dad, you sound like you are doing well. I am
glad to hear that! keep up that hard work... teach those teachers what
they need to do to become men!! ha sterling, you really think being in
texas I wont hear scores of games... texas is
football, so sorry, I know you are bummed. ha Ariel, Happy birthday!! I
hope everything is going super awesome!!! be happy!!! chandler! funny
story about the game! thanks for writing me I was missing you!! that was
a funny time in Roxanne! ha I miss her...
can yall send a picture of her???? I need to show her off!! Lace....
you made a super cute kid.... I love seeing pictures of her!! I cant
wait to see her! have a good time at the dunes this week!! tell the
grandparents I love them. I am starting to get into
family history!!! its a lot of fun!! I wish I could have learned more
when I was home from yall
so for the funny story of the week.... so a
member gave us a rice cooker that you put in the microwave. he also gave
us some barely and said it cooks the same as rice. so I was really
hungry so I gave in and made cereal. so good...
flaw... I forgot about the microwave... we look back and just see smoke
billowing from the microwave oven. I open it and the plastic container
has melted into itself and was burning the barely... we took it oit and
put it outside, set up the fan, opened all
the windows and waited... it was pretty intense... it was elder perkins
2nd day with me... all about first impressions right? ha
I love all of you guys!!! be safe and invite someone for the missionaries to teach... trust me... they will love you!
