Im getting a hold of this missionary thing....

mom,
what a fast week. this was week 5 of the transfer and it flew by. I will try to hit some of the highlights of this week for ya.
we are really making some progress with all of our investigators. I think I am really getting a hold of this missionary thing... until transfers come, then its a whole new story. we went to a pool party where all of our investigators were at (because most of our investigators work for a member in our ward and it was her party). So, of course, we crashed the party rocking our suits..... without the coat. they are really fun. I love being able to work with the investigators and members this close. I love how missionary work is changing. it is really getting the ward involved with everything. the ward I feel is going awesome.
so a funny story that happened this week. elder su'a and I were going to the business of a member to check up on them and to grab some waters. Wel,l we say our goodbyes and they send us with some waters to go. as we leave I call for a water and elder su'a tosses me one... as soon as I catch the water and turn back around I hear a loud thud. elder su'a took a face plant hard on the concrete and I just started to bust up laughing. he tried to play it off like nothing happened but that didn't work out. ha he is a goof ball.
so remember last week when that crazy Baptist lady was trying to say I wasn't a Christian (still a little bit bitter), well a miracle came from that. so as we were being drilled with bashing questions, there was another lady next to me. she wasn't saying anything, I thought trying to tune us out. well when the CBL (Crazy Baptist Lady) left we talked to the quiet lady. we set an appointment up with her for last week. so during the lesson she says that she has been looking for a church for a long time. she was going to a lot of different churches, but she is always too skeptical that they never had all of the answers. so when she was listening to our "bash session" with the CBL she was saying to herself "wow that makes a lot of sense." it was just cool to see how the Lord is working on everybody and in the craziest ways to lead them to find the gospel. I have plenty of stories to back that up.
well the family sounds awesome. sterling and ariel sound just great. good luck ariel on finding a job and finishing up school. Sterling, I am glad you are liking coaching football, sounds like they really need you. Lace and chan, keep working hard. you are super parents, june looks so adorable. I try to show off my niece to everyone over here. I am a very lucky uncle. Dad, your life is always so busy, football sounds like a ball. I wish you could see football down here. it gets really intense, though the schools in my area aren't very good. its still a packed house on Friday night. Mom, I am glad you are enjoying life. its cool to see that Ty Hampton is the new YM pres. we sat in on a YM class yesterday... let me tell you what, I was fixin' to lay some smack down on them boys. I am glad our ward is not like this one. I am glad to hear thor is doing good in puppy prison. ha GGC, I am glad you guys are feeling better. thank you for the card. I should be going down to the temple store this next month. ha love ya GGN, I hope you guys are doing well. thank you for the occasional notes. I love them. Uncle Luis, you are the best. I love getting updates on your family.
Yes, it is my birthday this Saturday. my gift? Thomas S Monson will speak for me... Lots! ha I don't know if we are going to do much for my birthday day. some members know. I know that we are eating at member’s house 3 times on sunday... yea..... that wont be good for that weight I am trying to lose. which I am doing pretty well. 3-5 pounds a transfer. it can be done. ha if I still get to make birthday wishes. my favorite knife got a chip in it. I was devastated. I am still using it. maybe new shoes. a tie is always something I will love. I am just living the dream. well life is good over here in mag town. love you all so much.
