Friday night in Texas‏ Sent: Mon 9/16/13 2:22 PM

holla family,

it is so good to hear from you guys. life sounds like it is so going good for you guys in Tucson. I will tell yall about what is going down in Mag-Town. so this week was just way busy. we are starting to really get the hang of this whole thing. Su'a is getting good, really catching his stride. that makes missionary work a lot easier. we are seeing the hand of the lord in our work. Here’s a couple of stories to show that.
so we got a call from our ward mission leader. a non-member moved in to our ward. they were involved in the ward where they used to live. so their old ward called my ward, our YW leader got their phone number. Here’s the catch... she got a new phone and lost the number and only knew generally where their house is. so we, as the missionaries, get sent to go find that one house in a huge housing development. yeah..... its kinda like looking for a needle in a haystack. haha we looked for about 3.5 hours and gave up. well this week they called the YW leader again, so we now have their address and phone number. funny thing.... they didn't even live in the area we were looking in. they were building a house and it will be done in a couple of weeks. so the lord knows...
another cool story. I was on exchanges with the ZL, in a walking area... way different from the country I am used to. so we were walking to a member’s house cause we didn't have any more set appointments. the street we were walking down was really busy and elder Brooks looks at me and says "this will be our 'power hour' activity." not even a minute later I look across the street and see this huge black man waving his arms trying to talk to me. I take a closer look and its Mathew pitman. remember him.... from Conroe? he was the huge black wrestler. We cross the street and talk to him. when I get there, the first thing he tells me is that he is fully active. telling me that he is teaching a class for single dads at the church and is planning on going to the temple. he just couldn't stop thanking me for never giving up on him. it was really cool to hear that from him. another family me and countrys reactivated is also going to the temple, so that is just super cool.
Well, the family is awesome sounding. Sterling, you rock. haha and super busy. I hope everything is going well with you.  Lace, the books are awesome. I am still working on those you gave me. I have finished about 2 of them. so I think I am good for now. I will send them back when I finish the bulk of them. I have some things to send home like sterling’s shoes and some belt buckles. does JP need some boots??? ahaha little kids in boots are the cutest things ever. haha dad, super busy. I hope you are going good. don't stress out too much. everything works out, you pay your tithing. ha chandler, haven't heard from you in a while. I think you are alright. Grandparents C, I hope grandpa will be better, that doesn't sound good at all. everything will work out.
Okay, so a story before we go. so on exchanges it was a Friday night. you know what that is, Game night! let me tell you, Texas Football is exactly what you think it would be. we were walking by a high school around pre-game and I look inside the stadium (no lie, that place was huge) it had a small jumbo-tron, both teams had inflatable things to run out of, the bands had Semi trucks to carry their stuff, there was a yellow Lamborghini outside in the parking lot.... yeah... its kinda a big deal around here.
  Well, I love all yall.
