Breaking the Rut‏ Sent: Tue 10/22/13 10:30 AM

hello family.

this week was just strange... I felt like I was getting into a similar routine every day, wake up at 630 try to wake up and try get my blood flowing, so on and so on. I don't know if others, sterling or chandler, ever felt like this, but maybe its being in the area for 5 months, or being with the same companion for 3 transfers, but something had to change. ha so we started to work outside the box a little bit. we did a lot more walking and a lot more knocking. it was fun.
the sisters coming into the area has kinda made things a little bit tricky. always trying not to overlap on things, but its going well. we gave them a lot of our investigators and they are doing well with them. the ward is really in love with all of us. I think we are the first missionaries they have really started to trust. ha this ward will be a hard one to leave. I have grown really close to these people I go to church with every week.
so we made a real effort to go tracking this week. we normally do a lot of less active visits, but because of miles and the rut I was in we needed to mix it up. so we found two people that said we can come back and teach them a few more things. so I will keep you up to date with how those go.
So awesome to hear the U OF A won, and beat the U of U. so many missionaries are planning on going there, so its good to able to say I am a wildcat! #beardown.  the family sounds really good. Dad, football sounds like its going awesome. I feel like MVHS won by a fluke... thats just my gift of discernment. ha I am glad to hear you are doing good work. thanks for all the encouragement. sterling... sorry the broncos lost. I am super sad about the beard... pretty sure Ariel is happy though. I wanted to see it be like the people for duck dynasty. ha that show is so big down here. ha I bought a shirt...I might send it home. JP looks so cute lace, thanks for the pictures. Chandler, way to get on the football squad. ha I want to get in on that when I get back..
crazy story of the week. ha Im like making this a weekly thing. ha so we were walking down this sketchy road and it was getting cold and dark so we were calling it a day. I look to my left and there is a drainage pipe kinda over filled and I see ripples in the water. so of course I pull out my flashlight and shine it on it. we are looking really intently and we hear a weird noise and a lot of splashing... and we booked it. when we slowed down to look back there was a rustling in the trees next to us. ha yeah... we jumped pretty good. I really hope no one saw that.
love you guys. be safe.
