Dear everyone and mom,
the tab button doesnt work and i have 21 minutes and 23 seconds.
lets hope i can do it. so westly and stasia were so nice. i
must say it was really nice to see them. i got to the MTC and was
super freaked out. they just move you from room to room really
fast. i found a big package of things in my room (which is on the
top floor) then went to my class. my district is full of 9 people, 6 elders all
going to houston and 3 sisters going to nebraska. my companion is elder
williams. he is 21 this sunday, a runner, and is really quiet sometimes. the
people in my district are weird. one is 24, has a speech impediment and is
just overall goofy. his companion is 20, served for 3 months in the salt
lake mission and is also a bit on the kooky side. another is 18 from brazil but
really was born in idaho (Hayden is going to be treated like a king. all
the people from other countries get loads of free stuff and they get to call
home when they get here). the last one is Elder Bryan. he is a ranga, short,
thin, never shuts up, and is overall not my favorite person to say the
least. the sisters are great. ones from Arizona but more up north, one is
from Wisconsin and is a recent convert and the last one is from Washington.
I gave two of the sisters blessings already. that was super scary!
dad wasnt there to do the hard work. the MTC is really great,
sometimes. the spirit is so strong its pretty nice. the food on the other hand
is just weird. like it is food but its not really food. the cookies are awesome
and the milk is to die for, but i dont think you can mess that up.
yes, i saw jake, mom, and no i wasnt sad when he left. we
were in the same zone... kinda but not really. our class rooms were right
next to each others and we wore matching ties on the day he left.
tuesday we had a devotional and the speaker was elder halstrom,
the president of the 70. he was super good. talked about "you were called to be
here for a reason so stop doubting, and to go to all church meetings." i
sang in the choir cause a person in our district wanted to go so i
said why not. it was fun. just sat in very uncomfortable chairs in the
meeting hall. last weekend it snowed like a truck load! i hated it. i
had so many layers on it was ridicules! i just kept my head down and went
to where the next heater was!
so funny story, me and my companion were going to dinner and we got to
the door and watched a guy slide down the rail, slip, and smack his face into
the glass, super funny! so overall my classes are good and my study focus
is getting better. i went to the temple today and did initiatories. it was
fun. i dont think i will go next thursday because it will be
closed for cleaning and such.. bummer.
Dad, you are a trooper, i dont know how you do what you do. tell
me how roxanne is doing. lace, how is my favorite niece or nephew doing?
bummer about your car too. if i find them up here i will beat them
up;. sterl, hope your finals went well. try not to get too busy with track and
such. ariel, you're the best sister in law ever. Chan, i wont forget you
like sterling did. keep lace safe down in the dirty T. Grandparents, you are
awesome. Mom, the dear elder thing is awesome. i got your letter the
day you sent it. you should keep doing that. also, that package would be
awesome. what about my patriarchal blessing??? that would be
nice. im not missing my phone but i am missing down time and the big
red couch!!! tell luke he is awesome, and tell brother somerville that
he taught me so much and i should have paid more attention.
well my time is short
i love ya
elder nymerer
