Better Late Than Never‏ Sent:Wed 9/03/14 12:43 PM

Dear Mom.
First is first, i did write on a tuesday two times before this one. Ha, but today was a crazy day. really kind of a sad one. this morning we had Transfer meeting. Elder Barney got transferred, so we had to make the hour trip to the mission office. while i was there i saw all my friends who are going home. Man, that is so weird. the sisters that came out while i was in the beginning of my mission are going home. i was laying down the other day and thought that my mission will never end. the thing is i am totally okay with that. feeling this spirit and trying to bring others closer to Christ is really the best thing i can do. just this morning we were driving back from the meeting with some other elders and we stopped by Chick-fil-A and when we finished our meal this man walks up to us and says that he has been to church two times and doesn’t know what ward he is in. we ask him if he was a member and he said "I am working on it." I cant make this stuff up!!! Unfortunately, he isn’t in our area but i talked to the missionaries there and they are solid and will take good care of him. I truly will miss these opportunities where the spirit of the Lord so easily works through us without us even knowing. Hopefully, the same will happen when i get home. that’s what it is all about, right. being able to be a missionary all the time.
Well weeks are getting busy. we had to do the more Administer type work this week than ever before. we have been going to everyone’s companionship studies. that has been really cool. we go and talk about our zone’s goals and how they can achieve these goals! so that has been fun. we also had to set up some family history training for our zone. preparing for getting some Ipads, hold your applause! Hopefully, we will get them before my birthday, but who knows it might even have to be at christmas. lets hope its the first one so i get to use them and get out of the stone age! we also had MLC this week with the Zone meeting later in the week. it was focusing a lot on family history and how we should be using it to find and teach. it was different because there wasn’t really any training. it was really just a lot of announcements. so this was one of the only trainings we had to do with training wheels. i think it went really well, hopefully they got something out of it.
Man those “germies” looked so good. i miss breakfast, no one cooks breakfast like the nymeyer household. we should open up a restaurant or something. Sounds like everyone had an eventful Labor Day! Yes, i got your package. i laughed really hard. i loved it . dad, that is an awesome picture of the snake. i miss those stories. Lace, i hear you did work at the tailgate. its seems like a good week of sports in the Nymeyer Life. Dorados dominated and Wildcats crushed them, its a good day. Sterl, you rock. i hear you did something good in school, way to be. Ariel, how is zoey? Chan, keep up the work and keep your head up!!!
Man, so a pretty cool thing this week. Friday night we got invited by a less active to go to a card store to watch a card tournament. we walk in and elder barney is in love because this is one of his favorite games to play. we start talking to this guy and he is like "are you guys Christen?" and from there we start talking. he is going to a church but doesn’t love it. he studies out of the bible everyday with his dad and has the highest standards i have seen on someone that young.  we get to the point where he wants us to come by and have bible study with him, i am pretty excited about this. we went back yesterday and started talking and playing with him and another kid because they were out of school. come to find out, the friend is a less active member of a ward in our stake. they lord really does put us in places where we need to be! we just need to be willing and worthy to go and do it. i have seen the Lord bless me in this great and marvelous work. i hope you all can feel the same in your missionary service.

Love Elder Nymeyer
