Mom,

Houston is so different, no mountains, so many american flag coupled
with a texas flag, firework stands everywhere, and crazy clothes, but i
love it. there are so many trees everywhere. in some neighborhoods kids
are shooting off fireworks, alot. so funny. i will tell you
something... nothing is better than a texas walmart. talk about
sketchy... ha but no worries. i am doing good.

president is awesome. sister pingree is great, funny and a good cook.
she made french toast the first morning. i almost died. she made your
special sauce with butter and syrup. so good. so i am serving in a
place called conroe. its a small town above houston about 40 miles. i
love it. its so strange though. most of the streets dont have real
names. its like tx-393, its stupid but its alright. its nice. its been
pretty cold the last couple days. so glad i got that back pack and
sweater. i use both of those everyday.

hmmmmmm i saw some less actives
mostly this week. some were super crazy. no really thick accents but
they use yall alot. i love every second of it. so yesterday i gave a
talk in our 2nd ward (yes i cover two wards) that was alright. it was just
introducing myself. the members love the missionaries. so thats nice.

my comp has been out for 9 months he is from chile. so he learned
english in the mtc. it is really hard to understand him. i have to
teach him how to say some things. mornings are long cause i have the
regualar stuff then a 12 beginner program, then language study. we
dont leave the house till 1 somedays. my apparntment isnt very good,
there are nicer ones. my comp is district leader, and the rest of my
district are sisters. i havent had a good BBQ yet, but i have only been
here 4 days. the people here want to have me over for a green dinner,
i will tell you how that goes. ariel, hope your knee gets better. hey if
someone requests to be your friend on the fb named like katy or
something strange like that, accept it. she is in the ward and she
loves to take pictures and videos of the missionaires. so do that and
mom will love you forever. mom, a gps would be awesome and anything else
